Palladium recycling from electronics and industry
Outside catalysts, palladium is used in multilayer ceramic capacitors, conductive pastes, plating on connectors and lead frames, dental alloys and hydrogen purification membranes. Production rejects, surplus components and end-of-life parts all still contain palladium. Palladium recycling recovers it through careful sampling and refining, and older MLCCs in particular can hold more palladium than sellers expect.

FAQs
Palladium recycling and palladium scrap price FAQ
What palladium scrap do you buy for palladium recycling?
Palladium-bearing MLCC capacitors, palladium-silver thick-film paste and screens, palladium-plated lead frames, connectors and contacts, dental alloys, palladium-silver membranes and foil, and palladium plating solutions, sweeps and filters. Palladium catalysts are covered on our PGM Catalyst page.
Do all MLCC capacitors contain palladium?
No. Many modern MLCCs use nickel electrodes, while older and some high-reliability types use palladium or palladium-silver. The production date and type matter, so a sample assay is the best way to know. We explain the difference in more detail on our blog.
What affects the palladium scrap price?
The assayed palladium content and any silver, gold or platinum, the palladium price on the agreed date, and refining charges. Membranes and alloys earn better terms than mixed capacitors or residues. Oryx confirms all terms in a written offer.
Do you buy MLCCs mixed with other components?
Yes, though separated capacitors earn more. Mixed lots are sampled and assayed as a whole. Send photos and the approximate weight, and tell us whether the parts are new surplus or production rejects.
Can electronics manufacturers in Asia sell palladium scrap to Oryx?
Yes. We buy palladium-bearing scrap from manufacturers and trading companies in Japan, Korea, China and Southeast Asia, with written terms for your approval process and export documentation handled by us.
Why sell palladium scrap to Oryx Metals?
Palladium scrap is often sold as general electronics scrap and underpaid. Oryx Metals separates palladium-bearing streams, agrees transparent sampling and assay, and works with PGM refiners, so your settlement reflects the palladium your material actually contains.
