Industrial gold recycling, not jewellery buying

Industry uses gold where nothing else conducts and resists corrosion as reliably: plated connectors and pins, bonding wire in semiconductors, thin films from sputtering and evaporation, and dental and brazing alloys. Production lines, plating shops and fabs generate gold-bearing scrap and residues every day. Gold recycling recovers that metal through assay and refining, so manufacturers are paid for the gold they did not use.

HOW minor metals are PRICED

Oryx Metals makes scrap recycling easy and profitable

There's no single scrap price for minor metals. The same metal can come as clean solids or contaminated powder, and its value per kg can differ many times over. Every Oryx offer is based on your material's analysis, form and the market on the day.

How our pricing works
Highest value

Clean, high-purity solids

Uncontaminated pieces, offcuts, ingots and production rejects

Mid-Range

Coated or alloyed scrap

Coated parts, alloys, turnings and mixed solids

Priced on content

Powders, sludges & residues

Value depends on metal %, contamination and moisture

FAQs

Gold recycling FAQ for industrial gold scrap

What gold scrap do you buy for gold recycling?

Gold-plated pins, connectors and contacts, bonding wire, spent sputtering targets, evaporation pellets and chamber shields, spent plating solutions and ion exchange resins, brazing and dental gold alloys, and gold-bearing sweeps, filters and polishing waste. We focus on industrial material, not consumer jewellery.

How do you measure gold in plated or low-grade scrap?

Low-grade material is processed and sampled, then assayed by fire assay or ICP. High-grade alloys and wire can be sampled directly. Agreeing the sampling method before shipment is what makes the final settlement fair.

How is a gold scrap offer calculated?

Payable gold is the assayed gold content times an agreed payable rate, valued against the gold price on the agreed pricing date, less refining and processing charges. Higher-grade material earns better terms. Oryx sets all of this out in a written offer.

Do you buy gold plating solutions?

Yes. Spent cyanide and non-cyanide gold plating solutions and the resins or carbon used to recover gold from rinse water can all be recycled. They ship as dangerous goods, and we confirm the requirements before collection.

Can trading companies and gold scrap buyers in Asia work with Oryx?

Yes. Trading companies and smaller gold scrap buyers often consolidate electronics and plating scrap for us. We provide written terms that work for your internal approvals and handle export documentation.

What is the Oryx approach to industrial gold scrap?

Gold value depends on transparent sampling and assay. Oryx Metals agrees the method before anything ships, works with accredited refiners and lets you witness or split samples, so the settlement matches the gold that was in your material.
